As a professional single mother with a 9 year old son, my devastating diagnosis of aggressive, invasive Breast Cancer at the age of 52 turned our world upside down. As we fell apart,  I did not for one minute, have the slightest glimmer of the amazing gifts that my son Josh and I were about to experience as we stumbled along this treacherous path together.            

 When I initially suggested that we write this book together, my son Josh very succinctly expressed:“But mum, it’s your book really as you have been ill” Yes, it’s my disease but Josh and I both experienced Cancer as a family.         

This is our empowering story set against a backdrop of childhood trauma and punishing survival into adulthood – a story of the devastating but  liberating effects of cancer upon our family: how we have coped with it's emotional and physical challenges, the major life-changes we have made, our complete healing through the holistic combination of medical, spiritual and immunological treatments and the amazing, unexpected gifts that we have received along the way.

We have written our story to help you view your cancer positively and hopefully see it for the ‘real’ message and unexpected ‘healing’ gifts that it can bring to each of us.
